Precision of wing sections and consequent aerodynamic effects

In the present airplane wings constructed of wood and fabric a certain imperfection is inevitable, which gives an airfoil section differing more or less from that intended. This investigation was carried out to determine the precision of wing sections of wood fabric construction used on a number of airplanes.
