Spreading characteristics of a jet expanding from choked nozzles at mach 1.91

Total-temperature surveys were made to determine the gross spreading characteristics of jets expanding from axisymmetric convergent and convergent-divergent nozzles in a supersonic stream. The nozzles were installed in the base of conically boattailed bodies of revolution. Surveys were made in a region between the nozzle exit and a station 8 nozzle diameters downstream of the exit for jet pressure ratios from 2.5 to 16.0.
