Temperatures were measured on the external surface of a straight hollow cylinder alined parallel to the air stress. The stream Mach number was 3.12, the Reynolds number varied between 1 X 10(exp 5) and 7 X 10(exp 5) per inch, and there was negligible heat transfer between the cylinder and the stream.
