An equation is presented which may be used to estimate the solubility of water in any nonolefinic hydrocarbon or hydrocarbon blend at any temperature. Only the temperature and the hydrogen-to-carbon ratio of the hydrocarbon need be known to calculate solubilities which are believed to be sufficiently accurate for most engineering purposes.
