The effect of fuselage-mounted rocket boosters on a strut mounted engine was investigated in the Lewis 8- by 6-foot supersonic wind tunnel at Mach numbers of 1.8 and 2.0 and a Reynolds number of approximately 48 X 10(exp 6), based on body length. The boosters were pairs of circular cylinders with conical forebodies mounted on the top and the bottom of the fuselage, and the engine was mounted on a horizontal strut.
