An investigation to evaluate the thrust augmentation available with various types of water-alcohol injection system was conducted on a 5200-pound-thrust axial-flow-type turbojet engine at sea-level, zero-ram conditions. The engine was equipped with a variable-area exhaust nozzle which was used to maintain constant tail-pipe gas temperature during injection.
