Migration of cobalt during firing of ground-coat enamels on iron

To determine experimentally what happens to the cobalt oxide in a porcelain-enamel ground coat during firing, a porcelain enamel containing a radioactive isotope of cobalt (Co(sub 60)) smelted into the frit was prepared and applied to enameling-iron blanks.
