Flame speeds of 2,2,4-trimethylpentane-oxygen-nitrogen mixtures

The laminar flame speed of 2,2,4-trimethylpentane with various oxygen-nitrogen mixtures has been determined from schlieren photographs of Bunsen-type flames. Flame-speed data were obtained as a function of equivalence ratio with air at initial temperatures of 311, 367, and 422 degrees K and with premixed oxygen-nitrogen mixtures containing 0.250, 0.294, 0.347, and 0.496 mole fraction of oxygen at initial temperatures of 311 and 422 degrees K.
