Theoretical distribution of slip angles in an aggregate of face-centered cubic crystals

An analysis of the relative frequency of occurrence of any given slip-line angle in a plastically deformed polycrystal composed of face-centered cubic crystals is presented for the case of simple tension. The results are compared with those obtained for a polycrystal composed of crystals which have but a single mode of slip and with experimental results.
