Some effects of fin plan on the static stability of fin body combination at Mach number 4.06

In order to investigate some effects of fin plan form on the static stability of fin-body configurations, test were conducted at Mach number 4.06 on fineness-ratio-9 and -12 bodies of revolution alone and in combination with low-aspect-ratio tail fins of three plan forms having equal exposed areas.
