A free-flight investigation of two rocket-powered control research models has been conducted to determine the force and hinge-moment characteristics, at zero angle of attack, of a half-delta tip control on a delta wing. Each of the models consisted of a cylindrical body, with ogival nose and tail sections, equipped with a cruciform arrangement of 60 degree sweptback delta wings, the wing panels in one plane being equipped with half-delta tip controls.
