On the basis of linearized supersonic-flow theory, the lift and damping in roll have been evaluated for families of thin sweptback tapered wings with raked-in and cross-stream wing tips. Equations were derived for wings that are wholly contained within a boundary formed by the Mach lines, that is, wings with subsonic leading edges, supersonic trailing edges, and supersonic wing tips.
