Comparative foaming characteristics of aeronautical lubricating oils

W. W. Woods, J. V. Robinson
Feb 1950

Comparative data are presented on the volume of foam and the stability of foams of aeronautical lubricating oils (new and used) produced at 100 degrees C (212 degrees F) by the air-bubbling method. All of the data were obtained using the same foam meter, by a standard technique and at various rates of air flow.
