Impact-pressure interpretation in a rarefied gas at supersonic speeds

The interpretation of measured impact pressures in a rarefied gas is reviewed and available analyses are summarized. Experimental results are presented for source-shaped impact tubes for Mach numbers between 2.3 and 3.6 and Reynolds numbers from 25 to 804.
