A step-by-step numerical procedure based on a conformal-mapping theory is presented for the design of a cascade of airfoils with a prescribed dimensionless-velocity distribution in incompressible potential flow. The numerical procedure includes a set of tables to serves as a guide to computation. A numerical example is also presented in order to illustrate specific solutions to some of the more difficult problems arising in the design of a cascade by this method.
