Influence of wing flexibility on force-time relation in shock strut following vertical landing impact

Tests were conducted to determine the force developed in a shock strut as a function of the flexibility of the attached wing structure. A formula, based on the analysis, is given for the ratio of impact force with a flexible wing to impact force on a rigid wing. This formula checks the experimental data within the experimental error.
