On the flying qualities of helicopters

The flying-qualities problems of current helicopters as observed during flight are discussed. These problems have been found to be, instability with angle of attack in forward flight, control sensitivity in hovering, particularly for the smaller helicopters, and control forces following control movement in maneuvers.
