Some considerations on an airfoil in an oscillating stream

The velocity potential, lift force, moment, and propulsive force on a two-dimensional airfoil in a stream of periodically varying angle of attack have been derived on the basis of nonstationary incompressible potential-flow theory which includes the effect of the continuous sheet of vortices shed from the trailing edge.
